It packs a 1.95 front-firing speaker, Eero WiFi support, and a built-in Alexa assistant in a semi-spherical design. Like any Echo device, Pop can stream music, send shopping notifications, and offers a host of smart features, and it can be controlled with the Alexa app. It comes in four color variants – Charcoal, Glacier White, Lavender Bloom and Midnight Teal with a new design that is unlike any other Echo product that Amazon has launched so far. The Echo Pop is priced at $39.99 and is set for release on Wednesday, May 31.
Amazon has also updated its most popular smart display with a slimmer form factor. The new Echo Show 5 gets an adjustable stand accessory and the company even announced an Echo Show 5 Kids with a galaxy design. Both variants are said to have an improved speaker system that produces double the bass with clear sound compared to the previous iteration.
The children’s variant of the Echo Show 5 is further optimized to provide child-friendly answers with explicit lyric filtering and is said to be able to help with homework. Priced slightly higher than the regular variant, the $99.99 Echo 5 Kids comes with a two-year worry-free warranty, which also includes one year of Amazon Kids+, available in select markets.
Meanwhile, Amazon’s new Echo Buds cost $49.99 and these TWS-style earbuds offer a semi-in-ear design and are also sweat-resistant. The earbuds are said to provide 5 hours of music playback and combined with the carrying case, the buds can offer up to 20 hours of music playback and can also connect to two devices at the same time.
Finally, the Echo Auto will now be available in more markets such as the UK, Germany, France, Italy, Spain and Japan. The new version is also much smarter and includes five microphones for improved voice recognition.
